Depuis 2005, ce laboratoire transdisciplinaire travaille les questions li\u00e9es au cin\u00e9ma, \u00e0 la m\u00e9moire, aux bases de donn\u00e9es, \u00e0 l\u2019interactivit\u00e9, \u00e0 la jouabilit\u00e9 ou \u00e0 l\u2019aspect performatif des \u0153uvres.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 240px;\">L\u2019originalit\u00e9 de la recherche men\u00e9e au sein du SLIDERS_lab tient alors autant aux allers-retours incessants faits entre les r\u00e9alisations plastiques et les concepts qui les sous-tendent qu\u2019aux diff\u00e9rents champs disciplinaires interrog\u00e9s ou encore aux outils mis en \u0153uvre pour d\u00e9velopper cette exploration comme, par exemple, l\u2019\u00e9dition \u00e0 venir du livre\u00a0<i>Cin\u00e9ma, interactivit\u00e9 et soci\u00e9t\u00e9<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 240px;\"><span style=\"color: #9d02ff;\">\u2022<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"padding-left: 240px;\"><span style=\"color: #9d02ff;\">Recherche et cr\u00e9ation \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e8re num\u00e9rique<b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 240px;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"><a title=\"Jean-Paul Fourmentraux\" href=\"https:\/\/www.methodologiesrecherchecreation.uqam.ca\/?page_id=374\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">Jean Paul Fourmentraux<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 240px;\">Depuis une dizaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es, le num\u00e9rique bouscule les fronti\u00e8res entre des domaines jusque-l\u00e0 relativement cloisonn\u00e9s\u00a0: arts plastiques, spectacle vivant et audiovisuel, informatique, robotique et sciences physiques, notamment. Qu\u2019est-ce que \u00ab\u00a0cr\u00e9er\u00a0\u00bb dans ce contexte interdisciplinaire hybridant arts, sciences et technologies? La cr\u00e9ation artistique et la recherche technologique, qui constituaient autrefois des domaines nettement s\u00e9par\u00e9s et quasiment imperm\u00e9ables, sont-ils aujourd\u2019hui \u00e0 ce point intriqu\u00e9s que toute innovation au sein de l\u2019un int\u00e9resse (et infl\u00e9chit) le d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019autre?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 240px;\">Cette communication montrera comment les \u0153uvres hybrides qui r\u00e9sultent de cette interp\u00e9n\u00e9tration rendent irr\u00e9versible le morcellement des anciennes fronti\u00e8res opposant art et science. La mani\u00e8re in\u00e9dite dont celles-ci se recomposent nous am\u00e8nera \u00e0 nous interroger d\u2019une part sur l\u2019articulation qui, d\u00e9sormais, permet \u00e0 la recherche et \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019interagir, et d\u2019autre part sur la red\u00e9finition des figures de l\u2019artiste ainsi que des modes de valorisation des \u0153uvres sp\u00e9cifiques \u00e0 ce contexte.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 240px;\"><span style=\"color: #9d02ff;\">\u2022<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"padding-left: 240px;\"><span style=\"color: #9d02ff;\">La recherche-cr\u00e9ation en art num\u00e9rique et interactif au CITAR<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 240px;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #000000;\"><strong><a title=\"Carlos Sena Caires\" href=\"https:\/\/www.methodologiesrecherchecreation.uqam.ca\/?page_id=425\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">Carlos Sena Caires<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 240px;\">Sous le th\u00e8me principal de la recherche-cr\u00e9ation en art num\u00e9rique et interactif, nous assisterons, dans un premier temps, \u00e0 une pr\u00e9sentation de plusieurs cr\u00e9ations\u00a0r\u00e9alis\u00e9es dans le cadre du groupe de recherche Arts visuels et interactifs dirig\u00e9 par Carlos Sena Caires au Centre de recherche en science et technologie des arts (CITAR) de l\u2019\u00c9cole des arts de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 catholique portugaise \u00e0 Porto. Dans un second temps, il sera question de mettre \u00e0\u00a0jour l\u2019activit\u00e9 interdisciplinaire de collaboration entre artistes et ing\u00e9nieurs lors de la production et cr\u00e9ation d\u2019\u0153uvres interactives et performatives. Nous verrons\u00a0comment l\u2019interaction entre les diff\u00e9rents objectifs de chacun peut mener \u00e0 des r\u00e9sultats fort int\u00e9ressants du point de vue de la cr\u00e9ation artistique et de la recherche\u00a0technologique, mais pose probl\u00e8me lors de la description de ces cr\u00e9ations \u00e0 des fins d\u2019\u00e9valuation dans les universit\u00e9s. Enfin, et d\u2019un point de vue plus personnel, nous\u00a0discuterons le nouveau r\u00f4le du spectateur-participant (devenu\u00a0interacteur) des installations interactives r\u00e9alis\u00e9es par Carlos Sena Caires dans le cadre d\u2019une\u00a0recherche continue sur le r\u00e9cit filmique interactif.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 240px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artes.ucp.pt\/citar\" target=\"_blank\">www.artes.ucp.pt\/citar<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 240px;\"><span style=\"color: #9c26f6;\">\u2022<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"padding-left: 240px;\"><span style=\"color: #9c26f6;\"><strong>Research-creation: Flaws and Promise<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 240px;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a title=\"Maria Lantin\" href=\"https:\/\/www.methodologiesrecherchecreation.uqam.ca\/?page_id=455\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #000000;\">Maria Lantin<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0&amp;\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a title=\"Glen Lowry\" href=\"https:\/\/www.methodologiesrecherchecreation.uqam.ca\/?page_id=901\"><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">Glen Lowry<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 240px;\">Drawing from our combined, substantial experience \u2013 as funded researchers, artists, administrators, and advocates \u2013 and a comprehensive study of research-creation projects under the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) program, we will outline some inherent structural, methodological, and axiological differences influencing the development and execution of research-creation projects.\u00a0 Working from this typology of collaborative approaches, our paper will look at how research-creation sits within the wider funding infrastructure. In particular, we will speak to the tensions around expected outcomes and how these fit in terms of the goals outlined across funding programs for cultural \/ artistic inquiry or production: the tri-council, Canada Council for the Arts, and the NCE program.\u00a0 Supporting the discussion is a strong interest in evaluating SSHRC\u2019s vision for research-creation and in the benefits accrued as well as those that might be further realized through targeted changes to the program \u2013 its evaluation and integration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 480px;\"><span style=\"color: #9d02ff;\">\u2022<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"padding-left: 240px;\"><span style=\"color: #9d02ff;\">VOXELS : design et optimisation\u00a0\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e8re de l\u2019impression 3D<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 240px;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"><a title=\"Aaron Sprecher\" href=\"https:\/\/www.methodologiesrecherchecreation.uqam.ca\/?page_id=428\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">Aaron Sprecher<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span> et <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a title=\"Fran\u00e7ois Leblanc\" href=\"https:\/\/www.methodologiesrecherchecreation.uqam.ca\/?page_id=382\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">Fran\u00e7ois Leblanc<br \/>\n<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 240px;\">L\u2019int\u00e9gration des technologies du num\u00e9rique et de la robotique au sein du design permet d\u2019instaurer de nouveaux protocoles pour la fabrication de formes d\u00e9taill\u00e9es et hautement complexes. La production additive, aussi connue sous le nom d&rsquo; \u00ab\u00a0impression 3D\u00a0\u00bb, offre une plus grande libert\u00e9 dans la conception de formes performantes, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire qu\u2019il est possible de programmer \u00e0 tr\u00e8s petite \u00e9chelle la g\u00e9om\u00e9trie et le comportement des mat\u00e9riaux. Le voxel (pixel dont la r\u00e9solution est volum\u00e9trique) devient ainsi l\u2019unit\u00e9 de design, de la matrice programm\u00e9e \u00e0 celle imprim\u00e9e.
